Carol Singing Update

CAROL SINGING
In the November magazine I said I would keep you informed about carol singing this Christmas. It has been decided that six people, socially distanced, would not be heard unless we sang at the door of each house. This would be very impractical and very demanding.
So it has been decided that we shall sing inside the church gates, six people at a time, socially distanced. We shall sing carols for 30 minutes prior to each service during December.
SUNDAY 13TH DECEMBER RAINOW 9.25 am – 9.55 am
SUNDAY 20TH DECEMBER RAINOW 9.25 am – 9.55 am
Also if anyone would like to sing on Christmas morning 9.25 am – 9.55 am.
If you would like to join in on any Sunday, please let me know the week before. If you feel that you cannot do 30 minutes but are able to do 10 – 15 minutes that would be fine.
I am aware that singing like this, this year we shall not raise nearly as much money as we have in other years for the Children’s Society, but we shall be putting a bucket on the church path for the congregation to give a donation if they wish to. This means that we could give the Children’s Society some money and be able to keep up the lovely tradition of carol singing at Christmas in Rainow.
However, if the government decide to extend the lockdown through December we shall be unable to sing at all.
